Elizabeth Ann Freeth was the seventh child of Samuel Freeth & Catherine Wilton born April 4th, 1874 at Smethwick, Staffs.
Elizabeth was at home at 90 Brasshouse Lane in 1881with her parents, 3 brothers & a sister.
Elizabeth was still living at the same address with her parents & younger sister in 1891. She was working as a bronzer? in the chandelier works.
Elizabeth married Samuel Smith on Christmas Day 1897 at St Mary Magdalene, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Notts. Samuel was born November 18th, 1874 at Darlaston, Staffs, the son of Mary Ann Wootton & Samuel Smith.
In 1901 Elizabeth & Samuel were living at 51 Hubert Rd, Selly Oak, Worcs. where Samuel was a drop forger (blacksmith). They had a 2 year old son, Samuel.
Samuel, Elizabeth & family emigrated in 1910 sailing on the Campana & arriving in New York on August 20th.
The 1911 census of Canada shows the family living at 46 Ford St, York South, Ontario, Canada. Samuel’s occupation was a stamper.
By 1920 the family had moved to Ward 17, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Samuel was a foreman at a drop forge & with them were 2 sons, Albert E (6) & Leonard (4) both born in Illinois.
On Samuel’s naturalization record in 1920 he gave his address as 507 Logan Avenue, Milwaukee & his date of entry to the US as September 5th, 1912.
Samuel applied for a passport for him & Elizabeth & sons Albert & Leonard in 1921 to travel back to the UK on a visit.

Samuel died on February 25th, 1934 in Los Angeles, California.
By 1940 widowed Elizabeth was living in San Antonio, Los Angeles, California. With her was son Leonard who was a clerk in a can manufacturers.
Elizabeth died aged 75 on August 13th, 1949 in Los Angeles, California.
